How to Go Live on TikTok from a Desktop (2024)

By logging in to Streamlabs Desktop, eligible creators can apply (click here for the application) to live stream to TikTok live from their PC while utilizing Streamlabs Desktop, eliminating the need for a stream key and unlocking advanced customization features from Streamlabs. This guide will walk you through the steps to maximize your live streaming potential on TikTok using Streamlabs.

Application approval is at the sole discretion of TikTok. However, we recommend your content, both on and off the platform, adheres to their community guidelines, including no nudity, limited foul language, and no references to tobacco and drugs. How To Go Live On TikTok from your Desktop Computer Using Streamlabs Desktop

With this new integration, you can stream while using the features of Streamlabs Desktop. Here’s how you can get started today.

1. Download Streamlabs Desktop(if you haven’t done so already). Once your download is complete, launch the application on your computer.
2. Once Streamlabs Desktop is open on your computer, the application will ask you to Connect to a social media platform to live stream. Select TikTokfrom the available options.
   
3. Next, log into your TikTok account. You can log in via QR code, phone/email/username, FaceBook, Google, Twitter or Apple. Be sure to log in with whichevercredentials are associated with the TikTok accountyou’d like to go live from.
4. Once you’ve logged in, Authorize Streamlabsto access your TikTok account.
5. If you have permission to stream live to TikTok natively, you can hit the Confirm & Go Live button and start streaming.
   
   If you don’t have permission, please select the Apply for TikTok Live Permissionbutton to be redirected to the TikTok application page.

In some cases, you may have permission to stream to TikTok as an RTMP Destination rather than natively. You can enter your TikTok server URL and stream key in this case. If you’d like native access, please click the Apply for TikTok Live Permissionbutton.

6. Be sure to give your TikTok Live Stream a title and add a game tag to let your viewers know what specific game you’re playing on stream (if applicable).

   Once your live stream is confirmed and running, your browser will open a window with your TikTok Chat and live analytics. Native chat in Streamlabs is not currently supported.
