A second chance to predict our record
As we quickly approach the season's half way point, I wanted to see Ravens fans predict the Ravens record with the new information we have.
I imagine most of you, like me are underwhelmed so far. I do believe there is room for optimism and bright spots. They say it's best to peak later then too early and the Ravens in my opinion certainly haven't peaked their potential yet. Our schedule moving forward is littered with teams under .500.
@ TB (3-4)
@ NO (2-5)
BYE
CAR (2-5)
@ JAX (2-5)
DEN (2-5)
@ PIT (2-5)
@ CLE (2-5)
ATL (3-4)
PIT (2-5)
@ CIN (4-3)If we can't make the playoffs with that remaining schedule we certainly don't deserve to be there. With that said, hopefully this lighter remaining schedule will allow us to catch some fire and get rolling. I know there is plenty of kinks to work out here. But our schedule will hopefully allow us to do that without too much dread.
So here is my prediction. I think we drop 2 or 3 more games. Going to go with 2 to be optimistic.
Steelers and Bengals both get us on the road
12-5

Holy hell is that schedule an absolute joke. I think we lose to the Browns with Watson, and the Bengals away. Dont see much else there that could cause issues. Maybe away at Jacksonville? We always have brain fart games.

I could see us losing to Denver if Wilson comes back. We wont score on that defense.Originally Posted by Ravens4Real

Unless Wilson comes back and plays better than he has .. We have all lost years of our lives watching the Broncos in prime time so far this year.Originally Posted by Mmcclend

But truly anything could happen this year. Even at home, they have been mostly losses and even the two wins were far from comfortable.

Re: A second chance to predict our record
Assuming no catastrophic injuries, I think they'll win ~6 more games and 10-7 should be good enough to take the AFCN (CIN still has games against BUF/KC/TEN, not to mention 4 games against AFCN).Originally Posted by Purpleglasses

Why 30% chance of beating TB? Ravens are getting them at the right time and match up well.Originally Posted by organizedchaos21

Re: A second chance to predict our record
agree with 12-5, 2nd choice is 11-6.
It's a bit of a surprise that the Giants are 6-1, would not have expected that before the season, or that the Jets would be 5-2. Would not have expected that the 3 toughest games, or the 3 games against the teams with the best records to start the season would all be over and done by the end of the 7th game.

9-8
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T
came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: A second chance to predict our record
It's interesting to see in the previous prediction thread that, early in the year, most were predicting between 8 and 11 wins. It was the draft that made fans overly optimistic.
https://forum.russellstreetreport.co...-ravens-seasonI said we'd be a borderline playoff team and I'll stick with that. It will be a dogfight with the Bengals for the division and I don't think the loser is qualifying. Their schedule is a little tougher so that might help.
9-8

We're right on par with what I thought for this season.Originally Posted by Iamjacks

Assuming no catastrophic injuries to stars and current PUP and IR players either return at pessimistic dates or not at all
Worst 9-8Catastrophic injuries to stars - all bets are off.
I still think 11-6 or 12-5 is the right number

Re: A second chance to predict our record
TB is still ranked highly and it's a road TNF game. That's bad odds, especially the road TNF.Originally Posted by Uli2001
